Alter offers a bespoke watch customization service exclusively for private clients. Our craftsmen work on existing timepieces and jewelry, transforming them both aesthetically and mechanically into unique creations. These services are offered online only.

No, Alter is not a watch sales or manufacturing company. We only work on models provided by our clients and customize them according to their wishes. Our services are entirely dedicated to the transformation of existing timepieces, available on request and for private use.

Alter masters a wide range of techniques to enhance each project. We use surface treatments such as PVD and DLC, as well as various finishes such as brushing, satinizing and sandblasting. Our artisans also excel in the art of engraving, enameling, miniature painting, and setting precious and semi-precious stones. Every detail, from the dial to the case and bracelet, can be transformed through watchmaking and jewelry craftsmanship, offering unlimited personalization.

Alter is able to work on all models of any brand; however, our watchmakers only work on authentic watches. Each request is carefully reviewed and we reserve the right to decline a project if the watch does not meet our quality and feasibility criteria.

You can submit the details of your project directly to us using our online form. A thorough evaluation of your request will be made before acceptance.

Once the project is defined, our artisans take over, meticulously crafting every detail in our Swiss workshops. Before delivery, the watch undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure a flawless finish that meets the highest standards.

The cost of a customization varies depending on the level of modification desired. A personalized quote will be provided after a thorough evaluation of your project.

Payment can be made by credit card through our Stripe payment system or by bank transfer.

We do not offer pre-designed models, but work closely with our clients to create fully customized pieces that reflect their vision and identity. If you are inspired by a model on our website, we can create a version that closely resembles it on your watch. Because each creation is custom, we tailor the finishes and details to each project.

Customization can also be a way to bring a damaged watch back to life by restoring its finish and aesthetic appeal.

All our modifications are carried out in Switzerland, in our workshops, by recognized craftsmen who have worked with the most prestigious brands.

Once your project is validated, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to ship your watch. To ensure maximum safety, we will send you an empty protective case designed to prevent scratches during shipping. All you need to do is place your watch inside and return it safely to us via a specialized carrier.

Throughout the entire process, our team will be in constant contact with you, providing full transparency and keeping you informed at every key stage of your watch's customization.

The duration varies depending on the complexity of the project, but typically takes several weeks from the time we receive your watch to ensure exceptional craftsmanship. A detailed timeline will be provided upon project approval

Once the final balance has been settled, your watch is shipped via a secure postal service. It will be delivered in an Alter presentation case, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and Warranty. We recommend that you keep these documents in a safe place as they attest to the value and authenticity of your creation.

Yes, we ship our customized creations worldwide via specialized carriers to ensure the safety and integrity of your watch.

Watch brands generally do not recognize modifications made by independent workshops, which would void their official warranty. Once a watch has been customized by Alter, the manufacturer's warranty is no longer valid. To compensate for this, we offer our own exclusive warranty that covers all modifications made in our workshops.

If you experience a problem with your custom watch, please contact us with details of the problem. After evaluation, if the problem is covered by our warranty, we will make the necessary repairs.

To benefit from the Alter warranty, you will need to present the warranty certificate that came with your watch, which will be verified against our customer records.

Please note that our services are for private, personal use only. Any commercial use or resale of the watch after customization will void the warranty

If we find that a client has placed a watch customized by Alter back into commercial circulation, we reserve the right to refuse any future customization requests from that client.
