At the origin of matter
This creation traces a symbolic journey from the organic density of carbon to the celestial matter of a meteorite. No indexes, no distractions: only texture and contrast. Time becomes a tactile, intuitive experience.
The owner of this personal watch has a deep fascination with natural materials and their evocative power. Drawn to the origins of things, objects, forms, even the Earth itself, he sought a piece that would tell more than just the story of watchmaking. His vision was clear: a watch as a fragment of the world, both raw and essential.
Meteorite Dial
Formed from celestial fragments, the meteorite reveals a unique crystalline structure, eternally frozen in time. Its matte finish enhances its raw, mysterious character, evoking a material that has fallen from the sky, untouched and timeless. By eliminating visual markers, it invites a different, more instinctive and elemental way of relating to time.
Carbon Bezel
Carbon is renowned for its exceptional mechanical properties. Ultra-light and highly resistant to torsion, it offers an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. Here, it gives the bezel a matt, organic texture. The bold contrast with the sandblasted steel accentuates the geometry of the piece with radical clarity.
All modifications are meticulously crafted by Alter Geneva in our Swiss workshops, where our artisans ensure durability and precision, true to the highest watchmaking standards.
