This reinterpretation of a platinum annual calendar chronograph embraces a radical all-black aesthetic. A black DLC-treated case and reworked matte dial transform this timepiece into a sculptural presence: technical, intense, uncompromising.
Absolute Black
Every element of the watch speaks the language of black. The case, treated with black DLC and polished, forms a sleek, reflective shell. The dial, custom-colored in matte black, absorbs the light, deep, flat, deliberate. The monochrome design is completed by a hand-finished alligator strap.
The Collector’s Vision
The owner of this personal watch wanted to push the piece beyond classic codes. He envisioned a monochrome presence, silent, powerful, and unexpected. His brief: remove the shine, keep the sharpness, let the black speak for itself.
Functionality meets shadow
The chronograph remains fully functional and legible, with subtle contrasts of gloss and shadow enhancing its appeal. Reading the time becomes a less immediate tactile experience, more intentional.
Craftsmanship in Every Step
The customization begins with a complete disassembly in our Swiss workshops. Every element is carefully prepared for transformation. Once the black DLC treatment and dial refinishing are completed, our watchmakers reassemble the piece. Rigorous checks ensure that aesthetics evolve without compromising mechanical excellence.
Each transformation is carried out by Alter Geneva in Switzerland, where artisans uphold the highest standards of watchmaking. From the first dismantling to the final polish, every operation respects the integrity of the original mechanism.
