This project explores the meeting point between natural materials and contemporary watch design. A meteorite dial, layered carbon bezel, and the absence of indexes create a pared back composition centered on texture, contrast, and material expression.
The Owner's Vision
The owner was drawn to natural materials and the unique character of each surface. Rather than adding decorative elements, he sought to reduce the watch to its essentials. Through a collaborative design process, we developed a project that minimizes visual elements, allowing the materials themselves to take center stage while preserving a strong visual identity.
Meteorite Dial
The dial is crafted from natural meteorite, revealing patterns formed over millions of years as it cooled in space. Unique to each piece, these structures cannot be reproduced artificially. A matte finish preserves the raw appearance of the material, while the absence of indexes reduces visual distractions and allows the meteorite to remain the focal point of the composition.
Carbon Bezel
Built from successive layers of carbon composite, the bezel displays a distinctive linear structure unique to this material. Its deep black surface frames the meteorite dial while introducing a contemporary technical language to the project. Lightweight and rigid, it reinforces the monochrome composition of the watch.
